Human in the Loop Is Not a Governance Strategy

Why human involvement alone does not tell you where accountability actually sits.

Human in the loop is not the same as human control. A person who approves two hundred AI recommendations a day is in the loop. Whether they are in control is a different question.

Governance needs to specify what the human is expected to check, with what information, at what volume — and what happens when they disagree.
